Resolving the Techno-Economic Barrier
As EGS has evolved little over the last few decades there are certain unresolved
techno-economic barriers preventing the economic development of EGS,
namely, prohibitive drilling costs and reservoir development uncertainties.
XTherm has generated a compliment of systemic technology developments, predicated on extensive and long term involvement within the geothermal development space. The integration of the XTherm suite of technologies provides a clear potential to resolve these basic techno-economic barriers. XTherm has used an integrated systemic approach to develop a technology suite to access and produce industrial scale high energy density geothermal heat at unprecedented levels. XTherm is targeting industrial scale, super-critical fluid temperature, geothermal fluid production to power base load electricity coupled with industrial scale Direct Air Capture and Sequestration of carbon dioxide.
Breakthrough Super Hot Rock Geothermal Drilling and Reservoir Construction
XTherm has coupled its extensive experience in deep and hard rock drilling to develop the breakthrough GeoDrill 600 drilling system to complement the patented GeoPERC Reservoir Construction Technology to provide disruptive, game changing metrics for accessing and producing high energy density heat production at high flow rates as the foundation for industrial scale thermal energy production
XTherm principals have extensive backgrounds in research, design and application of advanced hard rock drilling technology and equipment, drilling fluids technology, and specialized deep and hard rock drilling operations. This broad technological and experiential understanding of hard rock drilling is coupled with the disruptive, patented, PERC Reservoir Construction Process, that in combination, can be used to develop very high yield Super Hot Geothermal power.
XTherm's radical method of drilling and construction of geothermal reservoirs provides the potential to develop cost effective, high temperature, high volume, supercritical fluid temperature geothermal production from deeper wells (higher temperatures) with scalable reservoir production volumes (PERC Reservoir) from single or multiple wellbore(s).
Breakthrough Power Generation Bottom Cycle
XTherm's integrated systemic technology development approach to super hot geothermal power production has yielded a major breakthrough in the technology to capture the residual enthalpy downstream of the power generation process. XTherm's GeoDACCS system provides total enthalpy capture that is applied to industrial scale self driven Direct Air Capture of CO2. The GeoDACCS integration provides for large volume dynamic subsurface CO2 mineralization sequestration.
